About Mazu

Mazu is a story of transformation - of materials, of moments, and of life itself. It began with a quiet passion, late nights at the kitchen table, my baby fast asleep, as I strung together pearls and stones collected from around the world. Searching for the right materials, I found myself drawn to pieces that had already lived a life - glass shaped by the ocean, wood from old wine plants and barrels.

Every Mazu piece carries a journey within it. The waves have softened the edges, the sun has kissed the surface, and now, with patience and passion, I shape them into something new. Inspired by the Taoist and Buddhist goddess Mazu, the protector of sailors and travelers, each creation is more than jewelry - it is a symbol of resilience, protection, and co-creation with nature.

About Sabrina Stutz

Born in Switzerland, I now split my time between Lanzarote and Zurich, embracing the contrasts of these two worlds - just as I embrace the different roles that shape me. Designer, dancer, therapist, mother - each a reflection of my passion for movement, transformation, and guiding others toward their own path. My work is rooted in the belief that we are all constantly evolving, finding beauty in change, and discovering strength in the stories we carry.

Mazu is my offering to this journey. A way to honor the past while creating something new. A reminder that what is discarded can be reimagined, that beauty lies in the stories we carry, and that we are always connected - to nature, to each other, and to the energy that moves through it all.
